RockTenn has invested almost $25 million and opened a new folding carton facility, expanding its operations in Marion, NC. The plant, which produces consumer packaging for a variety of popular consumer products, plans to add a total of 124 jobs with an average annual wage that is 10% more than the current average for McDowell County. RockTenn operates folding carton facilities in Marion, Claremont and Conover, NC, and its merchandising displays business is headquartered in Winston-Salem. Almost 1,500 full-time and 1,800 part-time RockTenn employees live in the state.
